While in Cambodia I am constantly reminded of the privileges that I have at home, all the blessings that we receive from above and that we fail to acknowledge. Here, in the middle of this forsaken village everything becomes more apparent.

I am grateful for the small and the big lessons that we learn during our day. While the western world is concerned with vanity and perfection, here on this side of the world a married couple weep about a $900 loan that could potentially destroy their union. Our struggles are not very different, yet the dimensions are abysmal.

Father, I yearn for awareness and compassion, allow me to be sensible to the needs of other people and the blessings that we receive from you. Father, allow me to remember perpetually in y life that our journey through this world is very short and continue to mold my heart so that I can be that perfect citizen you need me to be in heaven for you.

Today your message was extremely clear. I need to throw my own agenda out the window and remember that everything I do in my life is not about me but you. Allow me to shine your never-ending love where that light has not been experienced before…… for your glory.

I thank you for my life and for Jay’s life and those around us! I am grateful for this 102 degree weather and for Ami’s tears this morning.
